This track uses two fundamental different callings from the Middle East War Zone, the barrage of the pounding guns, and standing against that, the call to prayer. This song seeks to capture the Beauty and Horror of this conflict and balance them.
During the production of this track there was a news report of a Rebel Fighter in the middle of a firefight calling the Azan in an attempt to bring both the Government and Rebel troops to prayer. The beauty of this act, the seeking of peace and unity during such strife became the driving force behind the song. The Azan is a Turkish call form the border region, the symbolism of this was to highlight that bordering Countries to the conflict zone have been receiving refugees in peace and without judgement.
Music is the universal language that knows no tie to tribe, sect, faith, belief. Music is the one universal language that all people of the world can understand. In this song the message is clear.
